Arsenal is making plans for when Alexis Sanchez exits the club in the next year with reports revealing that the Gunners are targeting Manchester United star Anthony Martial.
The Chilean has long been linked with Manchester City, while Arsenal failed to strike a deal for a replacement late in the summer after strong links with Thomas Lemar and Raheem Sterling.
Now it seems as if Martial is Arsene Wenger’s preferred choice, with the 21-year-old seen as an ideal fit out wide or through the middle, as Sanchez has been over the last year.
Jose Mourinho has used the former Monaco star as a super sub this season, though intense competition means Martial is never far from finding himself back on the bench; a move to the Emirates will give him guaranteed minutes each week.
