Jose Mourinho aimed a funny dig at Arsenal after Alexandre Lacazette recovered to start against Manchester United on Saturday.
Arsene Wenger ruled Lacazette out of the game against United after the summer signing injured his groin in Wednesday’s 5-0 victory over Huddersfield.
But Lacazette was a surprise inclusion when Wenger’s side was named in the build-up to kick-off.
He went on to score despite failing to prevent Arsenal falling to 3-1 defeat, while Nemanja Matic featured for the visitors after overcoming a muscular injury.
“I don’t want to forget my congratulations to both medical departments,” said Mourinho after the game.
“My medical department managed to recover Matic from a ‘maybe’ to a ‘yes’ [after an injury] but the Arsenal medical department managed to recover a player [Lacazette] from a ‘no’ to a complete 90 minutes.
The Portuguese boss added sarcastically: “Amazing. I congratulate them.”
