Game of Thrones’ Arya Stark is a strong, smart, deadly assassin and feisty young lady. Little wonder she is one of the most popular baby names in England.
According to recent reports, more than 300 girls born in England and Wales in 2016, were named after the ‘girl that has no name.’
The report states that there were more Aryas (302) than Marys (204) or Catherines (163).
Other popular “Game of Thrones” inspired baby names include Khaleesi (69), Tyrion (11), Sansa (5), and Daenerys (4).
The above characters have often been associated with kindness, strength and wisdom, it is therefore not shocking that Joffrey, Littlefinger and Euron Greyjoy didn’t make the list.
The last time viewers viewed Aryaon their TVs, she was having a heartfelt conversation with Sansa after the two planned the death of the manipulative Littlefinger.
