The contradicting character of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s certificate has prompted former legislator Shehu Sani to advise the judges of the Supreme Court to fast and pray in order to seek the face of God.
The highest court in the land stated on Monday that Tinubu’s certificate contains letters from Chicago State University (CSU) that are in direct opposition to one another.
On Monday, the statement was made by Justice John Okoro, who is the chairman of the seven-member panel that is considering the appeal that Atiku Abubakar brought against the win of President Bola Tinubu.

The statement was made by Justice Okoro during the hearing that took place on Monday. He was referring to the requirement that criminal matters have to be proven beyond reasonable doubt.
“However, in this particular instance, there are two letters from the CSU that are in direct opposition to one another; one letter verifies the president’s certificate, and the other letter casts doubt on it. On which do we place our reliance?” he inquired.
In response to this, Sani, who previously served as a Senator representing Kaduna Central at the Red Chamber, stated that the situation requires attention on a spiritual level.
“If the Supreme Court were to get two letters from Chicago that contradict each other, the best thing for them to do would be to go into fasting for three days; on the third day, God will teach them in a dream which letter is the authentic one. According to what he wrote on X, “We are a nation that prays.”
