Aston Villa manager, Steven Gerrard has come out to say that his focus is on moving up the table. He recently revealed that his team will not be drawn into the relegation battle, and fans have been reacting.
According to him, he only looks upward on the EPL table and he is certain that the league positions will look completely different after the final whistle tomorrow.
Gerrard added that his complete focus is on preparing his players for more victories this season.
His words, “I only look forward and I only look up.”
“I’m sure the table will look completely different come the final whistle tomorrow, if we put in the performance which deserves that.”
“We’re very aware before and after the game there will be some emotion around,”
“That’s deserved from Dean’s point of view, he did a fantastic job. The respect for Dean before and after the game will be there.”
“The important thing is when the game starts, the fans, players, myself are pushing for a real positive result.”
