The Senate ad hoc Committee on the humanitarian crisis in the north-east has revealed how the displaced people in the region were shortchanged by ‘corrupt’ government officials. Chairman of the committee, Shehu Sani said the Presidential Initiative on North-East (PINE) spent N50 million on two conferences but gave on N2 million to the IDPs.
