He beat his closest rival, Jimi Agbaje with a very large margin of 533,304 votes. The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has declared PDP’s Gov. Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi winner of the Saturday’s Governorship election in Enugu state for a second tenure. Prof. Joseph Ahaneku, Returning Officer in the state, disclosed that Ugwuanyi emerged victorious in the 17 local government areas (LGAs). He attracted 449,935 votes against his closest rival, Sen. Ayogu Eze of the All Progressives Congress (APC), who polled 10,423 votes.
