The Nigerian Army has reacted to a video which shows a group of soldiers complaining of hunger and thirst. The soldiers, who are among those fighting Boko Haram in the North-East, also urged President Muhammadu Buhari to come to their aid. The former governor’s release has been confirmed by his media aide, Tony Elumenor. The Federal Government has declared Monday, December 26 and Tuesday, December 27, 2016 as public holidays. The declaration was made in commemoration of the Christmas and Boxing Day celebrations.
