The Federal High Court, Abuja, has released Senator Ali Ndume on bail. The Borno South lawmaker spent five days in Kuje Correctional Centre. Justice Okon Abang gave the ruling on Friday. The judge said the court exercise its discretionary powers based on Ndume’s good conduct. Ndume was sent to prison for failing to produce Abdulrasheed Maina. He stood surety for the former Chairman of the Pension Reformed Task Team (PRTT) who is on the run.

The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has asked the Minister of Works and Housing, Babatunde Fashola, not to hide under the disagreements in his party to shy away from explaining how N4.6 billion public fund was diverted in his ministry.
