The Senate took the decision after the President’s letter was read out to the lawmakers on Wednesday. Islamist sect Boko Haram seemed determined to decimate Maiduguri, the Borno state capital as it struck again on Wednesday, killing at least six people as an explosion rocked the north eastern city. “We have so far recovered six dead bodies. The Federal High Court in Ibadan on Wednesday ordered the remand of eight bank officials over alleged currency scam. The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission had arraigned three Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) staff and five employees of First Bank Plc over the alleged scam. The CBN employees are Kolawole Babalola, Olaniran Adeola and Togun Phillips while their alleged accomplices included Isiaq Akao, Ayodele Adeyemi, Oyebamiji Hakeem, Ayodeji Alase and Ajiwe Adegoke.
