Three Nigerians have been executed alongside five others who have been on death row after being convicted of drug trafficking. Nigerian Army says it has rescued 200 girls from Sambisa forest, stronghold of Islamist militant group Boko Haram. This came more than a year after nearly 300 girls were kidnapped by the sect from their school in Chibok, Borno State, an incident that got the attention of the world and brought up the popular campaign #BringBackOurGirls.
