The Federal Road Safety Commission (FRSC), Sunday, confirmed the death of seven persons in a multiple road accident which occurred on the Ankpa-Anyingba road in Kogi. Confirming this in Lokoja, Kogi Sector Commander of the FRSC, Mr Godwin Omiko said three other persons were critically injured in the crash. “Five of the accident victims were lucky as they escaped unhurt,” said Omiko over the telephone. No fewer than 59 people who had contacts with Mr Patrick Sawyer, the Liberian who died of Ebola Virus in Lagos State, the state government has said. Dr Jide Idris, the Commissioner for Health, said at a news conference in Ikeja that the contact tracing became imperative to ascertain any possible transmission of the virus by the victim.
