The ongoing National Conference in Abuja has been extended by six weeks. The conference which was earlier slated to terminate June 19, will now end on July 31. This is just as a new work plan has been released by the leadership of the conference. The consideration of the draft report of the conference has been fixed for July 21-24. A bill prohibiting the use of commercial motorcycles in parts of Kaduna State, North-West Nigeria, has been passed into law by the state House of Assembly. The executive bill, which was read for the third time at plenary, Wednesday, sought to amend the existing Commercial Motorcycle Law No. 4 of 1999 and the Road Traffic Law Cap 135 of Kaduna State 1991.
