Sheriff Oborevwori, governor of Delta State, has declared that Duoye Diri, governor of Bayelsa State, should be reelected because of the progress made in his first four years in office.
In Yenagoa Local Government Area, Bayelsa State, Oborevwori spoke on Saturday at the opening of the Etegwe roundabout and the Agilobi road, Agudama Epie.
He praised Diri for making security a top priority, saying it had aided in the growth of other vital economic areas.

According to him, Diri is the epitome of a faithful servant because of the care he shows for the people.
You took office and made protecting the country a top priority, making progress on things like infrastructure development and others easier to accomplish.
You made it possible for businesses to succeed. The effects of your administration’s policies have been seen across all sectors of the state’s economy.
You’ve also promised to connect the state’s three senatorial districts. I’m happy to be associated with Governor Diri’s achievements, and I have faith that the citizens of the state will turn out in large numbers to support you in the upcoming election.
With all the projects he has completed, he justifiably merits another term in office in light of his impressive record of success. God sent him here to save the state; now is your time; everything is quiet there.
A second speaker, Diri, said that despite Yenagoa’s historical reputation as a “one road city,” that image has since transformed.
He said that his administration’s goal is to make Yenagoa as good as or better than the other capital cities in the country.
Diri continued, “This place was a hideaway for thieves, women and ladies were robbed and tormented daily, but we don’t encounter such anymore.
Happily, “We are happy that our people has given us the support to develop their communities.”
