Real Madrid manager Xabi Alonso has shut down reports linking Rodrygo with an exit this summer. He recently revealed that benching the Brazilian winger against Paris Saint-Germain was a tactical decision.
Speaking to the press, Alonso shared that there has been no decision surrounding the player’s future thus far.

According to him, he has only been benching Rodrygo because his tactics didn’t accommodate the player at the Club World Cup.
He stated that not rotating much throughout the tournament was a deliberate decision to help his starters gel.
“The fact that he didn’t play again is a game-by-game decision. The way things were going, we needed another player. There haven’t been any decisions about the future throughout this entire championship; we haven’t rotated much. We’ll start in a different context,” he said.
Alonso further noted that he wants to build a team that is united and determined to win.
He concluded by saying that the tournament was very demanding for Real Madrid players, but it hurts to exit the competition at the semifinal stage.
“We want to build a team that plays as a unit and maintain that feeling and spirit. The World Cup has been very demanding; we’ve been left in the penultimate stage, it hurts, and now we’ll see what happens,” he added.
WOW.
Real Madrid Club de Fútbol, commonly referred to as Real Madrid, is a Spanish professional football club based in Madrid. The club competes in La Liga, the top tier of Spanish football.
Real Madrid has maintained the white shirt for its home kit throughout the history of the club. There was, however, one season that the shirt and shorts were not both white. It was an initiative undertaken by Juan Padrós in honor of an English team Corinthian F.C., which he had met on one of his trips, one of the most famous teams at the time known for its elegance and sportsmanship.
It was under Florentino Pérez’s first presidency (2000–2006) that Real Madrid started its ambition of becoming the world’s richest professional football club. The club ceded part of its training grounds to the city of Madrid in 2001, and sold the rest to four corporations: Repsol YPF, Mutua Automovilística de Madrid, Sacyr Vallehermoso and OHL.
Hala Madrid is a magazine published quarterly for the Real Madrid club members and the Madridistas Fan Club card holders. The phrase Hala Madrid, meaning “Forward Madrid” or “Go Madrid”, is also the title of the club’s official anthem, which is often sung by the Madridistas (the club’s fans).
