Bayern Munich forward, Sadio Mane has come out to say he will be very happy for Real Madrid striker Karim Benzema to win the 2021-22 Ballon d’Or. He recently had his say while speaking to the press, and fans have been reacting.
According to him, he honestly believes the Real Madrid striker deserves the award this year because he had a really good season in front of goal.
Mane added that him winning the AFCON was a huge relief for his country, himself and his teammates.
His words, “Honestly, I think Karim deserves it this year.”
“He had a great, great season with Real, with whom he won the Champions League… He totally deserves it, so I’m very happy for him.”
On winning AFCON, “It was a great relief for me, but also for the whole country. I am very happy to have won my first Afcon with the country, but I think Karim deserves it, I sincerely think so.”
