Ex-Chelsea manager, Ruud Gullit has come out to say that he no longer gets what the club stands for. He recently had his say while speaking to the press, and fans have been reacting.
According to him, Chelsea is still very much an enigma to him because they lack any identity, and he does not even know how good or bad they currently are.

Ruud added that maybe the issue is sacking too many managers and starting all over again too many times.
His words, “Chelsea to me, still, is a little bit of an enigma. I don’t know really how good they are or how bad they are. They are looking for their identity a little bit. They are trying to creep up the table and maybe in the long term they will be contenders for the title. But I don’t know yet where they are exactly. People tell me that one of the problems with Chelsea is that they change the manager all the time – so tell me something new! I don’t get it. I don’t get what they really, really want. Even if they are successful, they still sack you as a coach. So I don’t know. That’s why I say Chelsea’s still an enigma. I try to find out what they stand for, what is their philosophy and what is the football they want us to watch?”
WOW.
Chelsea Football Club is an English professional football club based in Fulham, West London. Founded in 1905, they play their home games at Stamford Bridge.
The club competes in the Premier League, the top division of English football. They won their first major honour, the League championship, in 1955. The club won the FA Cup for the first time in 1970, their first European honour, the Cup Winners’ Cup, in 1971, and became the third English club to win the Club World Cup in 2022.
On 7 May 2022, Chelsea confirmed that terms have been agreed for a new ownership group, led by Todd Boehly, Clearlake Capital, Mark Walter and Hansjörg Wyss, to acquire the club. The group was later known as BlueCo.
The UK government approved the £4.25bn takeover, ending Abramovich’s 19-year ownership of the club. Bruce Buck, who served as chairman since 2003, was replaced by Boehly, while long-serving club director and de facto sporting director Marina Granovskaia left, as did Petr Čech from the role of technical and performance advisor.
