Libya coach: Javier Clement – This tournament really gave a good platform to up-and-coming young players. Most young players really got a massive foundation from this tournament.
This win is good for Libyan people, for the growth of the sport and social stability. I have put a lot of passion in this team, they have played with enthusiasm and pride and they fully deserved this trophy.
I hope winning this trophy has been massive for Libya and its people. I want to give credit for winning this trophy to the hard-work of the players. They have gained a lot of experience from this tournament.
Ghana coach: Maxwell Konadu – We cannot say there is anything that went wrong. We did our best but things didn’t work out the way we wanted. We have taken it on the chin. We just lost the game.
What this tournament showed is that African football is on the rise. The level of this competition has really risen by each tournament. This particular competition has been a massive success. We need to congratulate the tournament organisers for a job well done.
We have a bunch of good players who can take Ghana to the next level. We were solid at the back but could have done a little better upfront. The experience in South Africa for the past month has been an eye-opener. We really need such tournaments in Africa to give local based players a chance to show their talent.
