Manchester United defender Daley Blind is the victim this time around – and has fallen foul of the old ctrl+c in the exact same way that Victor Anichebe infamously did last year.
Blind was clearly asked to update his Instagram post with a picture of himself in United’s new third kit.
But as he pulled the PR-filled caption off the email and into the app, he clearly forgot to give it the old once over.
The Dutchman in fact forgot to delete his representative’s request to upload the picture.
The caption said: “Hi mate, would you be ok posting this image on your social channels with the following copy?
“Ready for the next match in the new @adidasfootball third shirt! Let’s go!! @manchesterunited #HereToCreate”
The Instagram caption error was quickly rectified and reuploaded.
Former Sunderland striker Anichebe did the same thing during last season as he was asked to tweet about a loss.
He copy and pasted to Twitter: “Can you tweet something like
“Unbelievable support yesterday and great effort by the lads! Hard result to take! But we go again!”
