President Donald Trump has come out to say that he has signed an executive order requiring a mandatory death penalty for anyone who murders a police officer in the US. He recently had his say during his address to Congress, and the world has been reacting.
According to him, there is a clear need for more support for the police in the US, and he can only call on Congress to make that executive order a law.

He added that police officers deserve the support, protection and respect they so dearly deserve.
His words, “I’ve already signed an executive order requiring a mandatory death penalty for anyone who murders a police officer. And tonight, I’m asking Congress to pass that policy into permanent law.
We’re also once again giving our police officers the support, protection and respect they so dearly deserve.”
