Former Kogi West Senator, Dino Melaye, has commended Delta State Governor, Sheriff Oborevwori, describing him as a “working governor” who has transformed the state into a massive construction zone.
Melaye, in a post on his X handle on Thursday, expressed admiration for the infrastructural development ongoing across the state, noting that the projects were people-oriented and impactful.
“I was waoooed in Delta State. My respect to the Governor and people of Delta State. The entire state is a construction site,” Melaye wrote.

“People-oriented projects everywhere across the state. Bravo. Delta is working, Governor Sheriff, Idigwa for you.”
Melaye’s remarks come amid widespread commendation of Oborevwori’s infrastructural strides since assuming office.
Earlier in 2025, Governor Oborevwori, along with several members of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, in the National Assembly, defected to the All Progressives Congress, APC.
His predecessor and former PDP presidential running mate, Dr. Ifeanyi Okowa, also joined the APC, signaling a major political shift in Delta State’s political landscape.
