Aston Villa goalkeeper Emi Martinez is extremely arrogant, Uruguayan shot-stopper Sergio Rochet has said. He recently had his say while speaking to the press, and fans have been reacting.
According to him, even though he considers Emi phenomenal at his goalkeeping job, he simply does not like the way his fellow South American acts from time to time.
Sergio added that while he is aware that everyone has their own personality, he cannot stand arrogance.
His words, “Personally, I don’t like it. I don’t like the way he is. As a goalkeeper, he’s truly phenomenal. A very good goalkeeper.
I’m not entirely convinced by those attitudes. Everyone has their own personality; I don’t like it, I’m more low-key. It worked for him, though, and that’s fine if he’s comfortable that way. I don’t like arrogance; I try to be like that as a person and also advise my colleagues to maintain that profile, which is ours as Uruguayans.”
