Eminem and Kendrick Lamar recently recorded some of Mobb Deep’s Prodigy’s verses for an intro segment on Peter Rosenberg’s “Real Late” broadcast, during which the Hot 97 host paid tribute to the late rapper. Eminem delivered some lines from Prodigy’s verse on the 1995 Mobb Deep classic “Survival of the Fittest,” while Kendrick rapped the first verse off Prodigy’s solo track “Genesis” from 2000. “I just want to say rest in peace to Prodigy. We love you homie. Hip-hop loves you,” said Eminem. “You will forever be missed.” Check out their tributes below.
