England manager, Gareth Southgate has come out to point out two key areas where the Three Lions are lacking at Euro 2024. He recently had his say while speaking to the press, and fans have been reacting.
According to him, the team as a whole is clearly not pressing well enough during matches, and it is evident that his players are not in the best physical condition due to fatigue after a tasking club season.
Southgate added that the boys are also not keeping the ball well enough, and that must improve.
His words, “We are not pressing well enough, with enough intensity. We have limitations in how we can do that with the physical condition. We can’t press as high up the pitch as we might have done in the qualifiers, for example. And we are not keeping the ball well enough. We have to keep the ball better and build with more control.”
