England Players Put Too Much Pressure On Themselves – Rice

Arsenal midfielder, Declan Rice has come out to break down why England players have failed to deliver quality performances in the ongoing Euro 2024. He recently had his say while speaking to the press, and fans have been reacting.

According to him, the English players have put too much pressure on themselves to make the country proud at the tournament, and everybody is just so desperate to win matches.

Rice added that there are over a 100 goals between Kane, Jude Bellingham, Bukayo Saka and Phil Foden.

His words, “I think we are all so desperate to do the country proud. We are all so desperate to win, to be leaders, to go out there and give people memories for lifetimes.

Sometimes I maybe feel like we put too much pressure on ourselves where we could just go out there and let it just take care of itself. I think there is probably more pressure now from the outside just because of the seasons some of our players have had.

If you look at the goals that our front four [Kane, Jude Bellingham, Bukayo Saka and Phil Foden] have scored this year, it’s over a hundred between them.”
