In a recent stakeholders’ meeting, the Enugu State chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has called on Nigerians to maintain confidence in the administration of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
The party issued a communique expressing support for Tinubu’s bold policy initiatives in addressing socio-economic and security challenges.
The communique, signed by key figures including the state chairman Barr Ugochukwu Agballah, highlighted the party’s appreciation for the efforts of Vice President Sen. Kashim Shettima, national chairman Dr. Umar Ganduje, and other leaders in restoring discipline and party harmony in Enugu State.

The stakeholders also congratulated Governor Hope Uzodimma of Imo State for his electoral victory and expressed gratitude for his support to APC in the state. Additionally, they extended congratulations to Ebonyi State Governor Francis Nwifuru for his Appeal Court victory.
However, the APC rejected the local government election timetable released by the Enugu State Independent Electoral Commission (ENSIEC).
The party expressed strong objection, citing concerns about activities intended to wear down opposition parties. The APC is currently in court with ENSIEC, challenging the conduct of the last LG election, which they deem a charade.
The communique emphasized the historical lack of confidence in ENSIEC, stating that the electoral body has never conducted local government elections since its inception in Enugu State.
The APC pledged to address the public on its final position regarding the proposed local government elections and the perceived shortcomings of ENSIEC.
