Defecting from the People Democratic Party (PDP) to the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) is former member of the Kogi State House of Assembly and former representative for the Ibaji Constituency Hon Christopher Atule Okoche.
Okoche also served as the interim head of the Kogi State government’s Ibaji LGA.
On Sunday, at Ibaji Local Government, he announced this to APC stakeholders.
He cited the APC’s success at both the national and state levels as a reason for his choice to join the party.
He stated he had talked to his constituents and that he and his followers will join the APC on a certain date.
According to Okoche, the PDP has no chance of winning the governorship election in Kogi State on November 11.
