Lil Wayne stormed out of a fashion show in Italy over the weekend after attendees refused to turn up during his performance.
According to reports, the ‘Lollipop’ rapper got frustrated and miserable few minutes into his performance at Philip Plein showcase during the Milan Men’s Fashion Week and threw out his microphone before walking out.
Philip Plein is known for his eccentric runway shows which is usually characterized by rock star performances, fire, motorcycles and more and this season the designer tapped rapper Lil Wayne to perform.
Reportedly, a few minutes into his set, no one would put their hands up when he tried to hype the crowd. An editor for London’s ‘Financial Times’ described the incident in his article writing, “A few people reacted but most people stayed schtum. No hollering, no screeching…”
“Lil Wayne is one of the most important recording artiste of the 21st century. He tried to get some response from the crowd but most were too busy holding up their iPhones to get pictures for their Instagram” he added.
The reporter claims, Wayne said into his mic, “This sh*t is whack”. But Wayne later tweeted.
