Recall that not long the ministry commemorated the breast cancer awareness month. The ministry has however today conducted a flash back on the breast cancer awarenesses month, in a bid to sensitize people, especially women on the prevalence of breast cancer.
According to the ministry, patient suffering from breast cancer, have higher chances of survival, if detected earlier. The ministry however listed underlying factors that increase the risk of getting breast cancer.
According to the Federal Ministry of Health, persons above the age of 55 are more at risk of getting cancer, females who started menstruation earlier than usual, excessive intake of alcohol, child birth at old age and hereditary.
The ministry analyzed ways by which breast cancer can be prevented which includes, regular eating, reduced alcohol intake, and engaging in physical activity such as exercise.
