Barcelona president, Joan Laporta has come out to deny reports that the club will be forced to sell Manchester United target, Frenkie de Jong. He recently had his say while speaking to the press, and fans have been reacting.

According to him, it is definitely not true that Barcelona is compelled to sell the Holland international, and he wants such reports to be ignored.
Mateu Alemany, however, added that Frenkie remains an important player for the club, even if Fair Play system will force players to depart this summer.
His words, “It’s not true that the club is forced to sell Frenkie de Jong,”
Mateu Alemany added, “Frenkie is an important player for us and we count on him,”
“What is clear is that the Fair Play system will force players to depart.”
