Liverpool defender, Trent Alexander-Arnold has come out to say that he and Gareth Southgate have held good talks ahead of Euro 2024. He recently had his say while speaking to the press, and fans have been reacting.
According to him, the manager has told him how he wants him to play and in what role, so it will be up to him to decide when he’ll return to the starting XI.

Trent added that he has evolved his game in recent years, and he believes he can play central as well right now.
His words, “It depends on the manager. I’ve had good talks with the England manager. A manager tells you how he wants you to play and you go out and play that role. I’ve evolved year after year, coming into the centre more than ever. I like to get on the ball in the middle of the pitch and make things happen. Whether I start in that role or just move inside when we’ve got the ball, it doesn’t bother me. I just want to play.
Either really. I can play a pass, I can receive the ball, I can do things with the ball. It’s more about what the manager wants to see from me defensively — whether he wants to see me jumping out or being a bit more protective.”
WOW.
