Gary Lineker Knows It’s Tough For England At Any Tournament – Kane

England captain, Harry Kane has come out to react to Gary Lineker criticizing the national team after their disappointing draw with Denmark. He recently had his say while speaking to the press, and fans have been reacting.

According to him, all he can say is that ex-England players have a responsibility to the team, so they have to be very honest and transparent with their opinions.

He added that Gary Lineker of all people should know that tournament football is very difficult for the national team.

His words, “I’d never want to be disrespectful to any player, especially, you know, a player who’s worn the shirt and knows what it’s like to play for England. I always feel like [former players and pundits] have a responsibility. I know they’ve got to be honest and give their opinion, but also they have a responsibility of being an ex-England player.

The bottom line is, we haven’t won anything as a nation for a long, long time. And, you know, a lot of these ex-players were part of that as well… they do know that it’s tough to play in these major tournaments. It’s tough to play for England.”
