Germany midfielder, Ilkay Gundogan has come out to react to the shocking loss vs North Macedonia. He recently revealed that it is a surprising one, and such results shouldn’t be allowed to happen.
According to him, he cannot understand how Germany let the opponent win despite the fact that they were just in their box twice throughout the game.
Gundogan added that he and his teammates were more dangerous when they moved the ball quicker, so it was sad that they didn’t do that often.

“North Macedonia were more or less in our box twice and we made it easy for them. We tried to work chances, but we only managed to score once. The way we conceded both goals was poor.”
“When we moved the ball around quickly, we looked dangerous. Our opponents sat deep and we couldn’t find a way to break them down. All in all, it was disappointing.”
