Oluwarotimi Akeredolu, Governor of Ondo State and Chairman of the South West Governors’ Forum, met with his counterparts from across the area on Tuesday. Akeredolu is the governor of Ondo State.
The meeting, which took place in the state capital of Oyo State, Ibadan, took place against the backdrop of rumors concerning Akeredolu’s apparent incapacity and his absence from Ondo State.
Attending the conference were representatives from the following states: Lagos’s Babajide Sanwo-Olu, Ogun’s Dapo Abiodun, Oyo’s Engr. Seyi Makinde, and Ekiti’s Biodun Oyebanji.

In a statement that was distributed by Richard Olatunde, who serves as the Chief Press Secretary to Governor Akeredolu, the Governor of Ondo State, Rotimi Akeredolu, expressed his profound gratitude to the other governors for their show of solidarity.
Akeredolu emphasized the significance of ongoing collaboration and cooperation among the states in the South-West in order to effectively solve shared challenges and accomplish common objectives.
It is assumed that subjects of regional significance were the primary focus of the conversations, despite the fact that particular contents of the conversations have not been published.
“Governor Akeredolu expressed his gratitude to the other governors for their unwavering support and emphasized the importance of ongoing collaboration among the states in the Southwest.
“The Governor of Oyo State, Engr. Seyi Makinde, stated that all of the governors in the region are behind Governor Akeredolu and that they are praying for him at the Forum. He also stated that he has the support of all of the governors in the region.
