Governor Caleb Mutfwang of Plateau State assured the people of the state that his administration is committed to their welfare and progress. Speaking at an Interdenominational Thanksgiving Service held at the Rwang Pam Township Stadium in Jos to celebrate his victory at the Supreme Court, the governor emphasized his determination to lead the state to new heights.
“By the grace of God, we will not fail you,” Governor Mutfwang declared. “We are determined to lead Plateau to a new realm; we will continue where our great leaders have stopped.”
Expressing his faith in the state’s future, he added, “We will ride on their shoulders and raise Plateau to a new level.

I know God will supply the means, but I can assure you the heart to do it is here with us. All we need is the enablement to do what God wants us to do.”
Governor Mutfwang also urged continued support and prayers from the people, saying, “By the grace of God, continue to pray for us; we will work together.”
The governor expressed gratitude to the people of Plateau State and friends from across the country for their prayers and support.
Leaders and Dignitaries Show Support
Bishop Wale Oke, in his remarks, declared that the state has been healed since the Supreme Court’s judgment. “Since the judgment of the Supreme Court, Plateau is now healed; the battle is finished,” he stated.
Former governor of the state, Senator Jonah Jang, called for unity and support for Governor Mutfwang, emphasizing the importance of collective effort for the state’s success.
In a goodwill message, former governor of Adamawa State, Boni Haruna, shared his experience of being the first governor to be sacked by a tribunal in 2003, before regaining his mandate at the upper court.
He expressed hope and confidence in the governor’s leadership.
Former Military Administrator in Plateau State, Major General Lawrence Onoja (rtd), hailed the Supreme Court’s verdict as a victory for democracy and the people of Plateau State.
