Even though the nation is going through a difficult time as a result of the elimination of the oil subsidy, Governor Eno highlighted that his administration would make sure that every available resource would not be wasted on frivolities but rather deployed for the optimal benefits of the general population of the people. Governor Eno made this statement despite the fact that the country is going through hardship as a result of the removal of the oil subsidy
“When I say there is no money, what I mean is that there is no money to waste, but there is money to put toward doing things that are beneficial. There is enough money to accomplish anything worthwhile. The availability of funds for the purpose of making investments will not be a concern in this state. It goes without saying that money is a limited resource. If you continue to behave in this manner, your money will eventually become worthless.
He also complimented the clerics for preventing divisive ethnic emotions from permeating the church community and urged them to work toward keeping the church unified, regardless of political or ethnic ties, in order to be in line with the attitude of his administration.
He gave the gathering his word that he would fulfill his promise to steer Akwa Ibom State toward unity and prosperity in order to demonstrate that he was worthy of the faith that the church and the people of the state had placed in him during the most recent election for governor.
A previous statement made by the State Chairman of the Christian Association of Nigeria, Bishop Christian Nyong, stated that the Church community was impressed with the leadership steps made by Pastor Umo Eno.
The leader of CAN reported to the governor that the meeting was a representation of the many groups that make up the church community in the state and that it would generate increased support from Christians in the state toward the success of the current administration because it is led by one of their own.
