The governor of Taraba State, Agbu Kefas, has requested that entrepreneurship centers be constructed by the TETFUND administration.
He argued that adolescents would benefit from training at such facilities because it would help them become economically independent of the state.
On Friday, while meeting with TETFUND representatives, the governor issued the demand.

For students taking the Joint Admission Matriculation Board (JAMB) and other standardized tests, he pleaded for the establishment of electronic libraries and Computer-Based Test (CBT) centers.
Any TETFUND initiative in the state, Governor Kefas pledged, would be under his watchful eye.
To have “quality education in the state,” he asserted, “a partnership with TETFUND is necessary.”
Kefas briefed the officials on his announcement of a free education policy and downward reduction of school tuition at higher institutions, citing a lack of education as the primary cause of instability in the state and the country.
“When everyone is in school, nobody will be engaged in going about perpetrating evil,” he said.
Sonny Echono, the executive secretary of TETFUND, has promised that the governor’s request will be given first priority.
He reaffirmed TETFUND’s readiness to further its collaboration with Taraba State and confirmed that the organization has already been present in the state, constructing physical structures for some institutions and training staff.
