The government of Enugu State has praised the British government for opening a visa center in the state to make it easier for people in the state, the South-East zone, and the rest of the country to apply for British visas.
When UK High Commissioner to Nigeria Dr. Richard Montgomery visited the Government House in Enugu in June, SSG Prof. Chidiebere Onyia released a statement recalling that the visa center was among Governor Peter Mbah’s prior requests.
According to the statement, the government was very happy to hear about the visa center and believes it will improve economic cooperation and cultural ties between Enugu State and the United Kingdom.

With the visa center, “the Enugu State Government looks forward to a strong, mutually beneficial relationship with the UK,” the release continued.
People, especially those in the South-East, were urged by the government to take advantage of the option to apply for visas in the State, with the promise that the State’s citizens and business travelers would be safer as a result.
It reaffirmed that the state was more inviting than ever before to investors and entrepreneurs.
