Nasarawa State Governor, Engr. Abdullahi Sule, has refuted claims that he has endorsed a candidate for the 2027 governorship election.
Speaking through his Senior Special Assistant on Public Affairs, Mr. Peter Ahemba, at a media briefing held at the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ) secretariat in Lafia, the governor described the reports as false and baseless.
He emphasized that the decision on who will succeed him lies with the people of Nasarawa and urged the public to disregard any speculation about a government-backed candidate.

Governor Sule also warned that any political appointee fueling such rumors was engaging in insubordination, adding that such conduct would not be tolerated. He advised aspirants within his administration to focus on governance and wait for the appropriate time to declare their ambitions.
Reaffirming his commitment to delivering democratic dividends in the remaining two years of his tenure, the governor highlighted ongoing infrastructural projects, including the Lafia Flyover and Underpass, the Akwanga project, and the proposed Keffi Flyover.
He called on residents to continue supporting his administration’s efforts to improve their standard of living.
