Governor Uba Sani of Kaduna State has inaugurated a new Grand Khadi of the Sharia Court of Appeal, Mohammed Aminu Danjuma, pledging his administration’s commitment to collaborating with anti-corruption agencies to combat corruption within the state judiciary and civil service.
The swearing-in ceremony took place at the Sir Kashim Ibrahim Government House in Kaduna, where Governor Sani emphasized the need to address complaints from grassroots communities regarding alleged misconduct by lower court judges.
Governor Sani charged the newly appointed Grand Khadi to prioritize the enforcement of discipline among staff in the Sharia Court of Appeal, particularly those serving in lower courts, which are the closest to the people.

Expressing gratitude to the National Judiciary Council for recommending Danjuma, a seasoned legal practitioner and distinguished scholar of Islamic law, Governor Sani expressed confidence in Danjuma’s ability to elevate the standards of the Sharia Court of Appeal and ensure justice for the people of Kaduna State.
The governor reaffirmed his administration’s dedication to upholding the rule of law and supporting the independence of the judiciary, emphasizing the importance of a harmonious relationship between the executive and the judiciary in promoting social justice.
In his response, Danjuma pledged to uphold discipline within the Shariah justice system and work towards the efficient delivery of justice in Kaduna State.
