Governor Umar Namadi of Jigawa State has issued a stern warning, stating that any commissioner or political appointee found to be performing below the expected standard will be relieved of their duties.
The governor made this declaration on Tuesday after presiding over the signing of a performance bond by heads of ministries, departments, and agencies at the Government House in Dutse.
The performance bond is aimed at ensuring the commitment and dedication of officials in their respective areas of responsibility.

Governor Namadi emphasized that all appointees who signed the bond would undergo quarterly and yearly performance assessments to evaluate their effectiveness.
In his statement, Governor Namadi outlined the purpose of the Executive Order and performance bonds, which are designed to establish a Results Delivery and Performance Management Coordination Unit under the Office of the Executive Governor.
This unit will be tasked with coordinating and managing a performance measurement tracking system to enhance the delivery of results.
Governor Namadi stressed that the state government is committed to maintaining high standards of performance and accountability.
He emphasized that any official found to be falling short of the expected level of performance would face dismissal.
The governor’s directive underscores his administration’s determination to uphold efficiency and productivity across all levels of governance in Jigawa State.
