Hassan Sabo, former Director of the Department of Works, Abubakar Tafawa Balewa University (ATBU) Bauchi, was killed by some gunmen who have yet to be identified.
At around 10:00 p.m. on Sunday, Sabo was killed at his home in Tudum Salmanu in Bauchi.
The attackers hit, according to eyewitnesses, when Sabo stepped out to open his house’s doors.
He was stabbed several times by attackers from a Honda Accord car with the registration number EKY 388 CP,then they finally took the vehicle away.
Ahmed Wakili, Police Speaker in Bauchi, confirmed the incident to newsmen.
According to him, after receiving a distress call, the police rushed straight to the scene and took the victim to the Abubakar Tafawa University Teaching Hospital, where he was confirmed dead.
