Blackburn Rovers have completed the signing of Nigeria international, Hope Akpan from Championship rivals Reading FC on a free transfer.
The 23-year old Nigeria international joined the Royals from Crawley Town in January 2012 on a three-and-a-half-year deal and made 63 appearances for the side.
He has signed a two-year deal with Rovers and becomes the Blue and Whites’ sixth signing this summer.
A product of Everton youth system, Akpan made his senior debut for the Merseyside club in an Europa League match in 2009, but spent the following year at Hull City.
The midfield ace, who has been capped 4 times by Nigeria, could make his debut for Rovers in their Championship game at Huddersfield Town on Saturday.
