Hull have until next Tuesday to answer a charge by the Football Association for failing to control their players in Saturday’s stormy Premier League goalless draw with bottom side Leicester.
.
The club is being held to account for several Hull players objecting angrily to referee Jon Ross booking Alex Bruce for a physical tackle on Riyad Mahrez.
.
“Hull City have been charged by The FA for failing to ensure their players conducted themselves in an orderly fashion,” read the FA statement.
.
“The allegation relates to an incident which occurred in or around the 68th minute of their fixture against Leicester City on 14 March 2015.
.
“The club has until 6pm on 23 March 2015 to respond to the charge.”
.
The incident came at an especially tense moment in the game which had seen Hull defender Michael Dawson booked and his teammate Tom Huddlestone sent off.
.
The match had a lot riding on it with both teams battling for survival – the point did neither side many favours as Hull are just three points above the relegation zone and Leicester bottom, seven points adrift of safety.
