German football legend, Oliver Kahn has come out to back Julian Nagelsmann to succeed Thomas Tuchel at Bayern Munich. He recently admitted that he handled the manager’s sacking in 2023 very badly, and fans have been reacting.
According to him, Nagelsmann was only sacked because the executives saw sporting success at risk at the time, but hindsight has shown that they pulled the trigger too soon.

Kahn added that the experiences at FC Bayern have certainly helped Julian further, and the Euro championship will be a real endurance test.
His words, “You always have to see decisions in the temporal context in which they were made. We saw sporting success at risk at the time and therefore made this decision, which was definitely not an easy one. I have said many times that I did it very badly. I found how this decision was then implemented. It didn’t go well, and that still concerns me today.
The experiences at FC Bayern have certainly helped him further. There is no question that Julian has a lot of abilities and there is no need to discuss it. The European Championships will be a real endurance test. Afterwards, we can say more.”
WOW.
