Popular entrepreneur May Edochie has said that her life took a downward turn financially after her marital crisis with Nollywood actor Yul Edochie. She recently recalled how her successful business collapsed, leaving her with various debts to pay.
Speaking at the launch of her beauty products in London, May revealed that she found herself having to pay three different banks she ended up owing after she lost her marriage and businesses.
According to her, while she was the topic among Nigerians on social media, she was actually battling a lot of things nobody knew about.
“It was barely a few months when all the unprecedented occurrences came my way, I sat and watched everything go down the drain and it came at a time I had to repay three banks.
The banks had been helping me really good, but it was unfortunate that everything happened at the same time and I lost everything. While so much was going on social media, I was battling other things a lot of people don’t know about,” she said.
Explaining how her goods ended up expiring in her stores, May stressed that she overcame the difficult period because of the faith she had in herself.
She concluded by saying that knowing her worth is the reason why all of her troubles are in the past.
“In the midst of these, I still had to pay three banks loan, interests were piling. Like I said I had lost all my businesses, goods expired in my stores, everything went down.
But because I believe in myself and I know what I am made of, I said no I am not going to be at the mercy of anyone,” he added.
