I Don’t Take The Messi Comaprisons Seriously – Yamal

Barcelona forward, Lamine Yamal has come out to explain why he’ll continue to ignore Lionel Messi comparisons. He recently had his say while speaking to the press, and fans have been reacting.

According to him, he does not take such comparisons seriously because every left-footed winger has been likened to the Barcelona icon at some point in their careers.

Yamal added that Messi is the best player in history but he wants to be his own player.

His words, “Luckily, I’m not the first to have this happen to me. That means that it’s something that people have inside them every time they see a left-footed winger, or sometimes just when one is left-footed.

I try to be myself. I always say that Messi is the best player in history and being compared to him means that you’re doing things right, but I try to be myself. I try to make my way and give everything for this shirt.”
