Manchester City manager, Pep Guardiola has come out to admit that he thought Erling Haaland would take the penalty vs Crystal Palace. He recently had his say while speaking to the press, and fans have been reacting.
According to him, it was decided on the pitch that Omar Marmoush would step up to take the penalty, and he played no role in that decision.

Pep added that his players sometimes decide who kicks a pen according to how confident they’re feeling at the time, so he had no problem with Omar stepping up.
His words, “They decided on the pitch.
I don’t know. I didn’t speak with them. I thought he [Haaland] would want to take it. These are things for them.
That moment for the free kick, for the penalty, it’s the feeling and how they feel. They decided Omar was ready to take it. Henderson made a good save.”
WOW.
