Popular Italian footballer, Gianluigi Buffon has come out to announce his retirement from football following a legendary 28-year career. He recently had his say via his social media page, and fans have been reacting.
According to him, even if he previously intended to keep playing until the 2026 World Cup and had wished to play out his contract at Parma which expires in June 2024, injury problems have finally forced him into retirement.
Buffon added that he had to reconsider his future because the injuries have taken a toll on him.
His words, “That’s all folks!
You gave me everything.
I gave you everything.
We did it together.”
