Nottingham Forest striker, Taiwo Awoniyi has come out to say that the match against his former club, Liverpool was emotional for him. He recently had his say while speaking to the press, and fans have been reacting.

According to him, he was really looking forward to playing Liverpool because the club signed him when he was 18, so it was an emotional moment when he scored the decisive goal against them.
Taiwo added that now is the time for Nottingham Forest to stick together and keep getting the 3 points.
His words, “I think this team will stick together; we’re a family; the fans are always with us; we just have to keep on going,”
“I was looking forward to playing Liverpool because they signed me when I was 18 and it was an emotional game for me. For me, I think it’s a good game for my team. We had the plan to stay compact, and in the end, we won. I’m very happy about it.”
